Job Description

This room is designed to support small to medium user group collaboration. The huddle room design is deployed in many areas throughout the enterprise to ensure consistent, reliable and predictable operation, maintenance, and support. It features three key-operations: local presentation, audioconferencing, and videoconferencing. Digital signal inputs and newer HD LED displays will be used.

Staffing

This equipment configuration is designed to support a standard, small to medium sized collaborative room, seating anywhere from 2 to 8 participants at the conference table. Additional seating may be needed for local presentations and meetings. Keep in mind that only the seated participants are intended to be visible during a videoconference or heard via microphones during a video or audioconference.

Display Requirements

Typically one or multiple large format LED displays will be utilized in this room.

Table Surface and Wall Mounted Connectivity

A conference table surface mounted receptacle will include capability for the following sources: 1 HDMI, 1 VGA with 3.5 mini-pin cable, at least 2 Ethernet RJ45 ports and at least 2 power outlets. Wall mounted HDMI, VGA, RJ45 and Power outlets/ports should be considered for any portable sources that are introduced to the room.

Sources

One local desktop PC with DVI or HDMI output, one cable TV HD tuner with HDMI output for viewing news or other information channels, and one Blu-ray Disc player for viewing training materials. Two of these sources will be viewable within the room.

Audio Requirements

1 to 2 ceiling mounted speakers, sound induction speakers, or even the sound provided by the LED display(s) will be utilized to provide room audio.
